The Story Behind the Music

Hello there! I produce and release under my artist alias, CUMULOCRIS, but my real name is Christopher Barber. I am a four-year-old veteran listener of the music from the Canadian EDM music label "Monstercat," and that’s important because a huge part of me arriving on the scene had to due in-part to them, and their inspirational artists!

I have been an official artist since January 2018, when I released my first-ever track, “Eye of the Storm.” I then went on to release “Stormgenesis” a few months after, and then “The Aftermath,” which was my final release of 2018. As of 2019, I currently have many things in the works, but I have begun to branch out from my primary genres of House and Ambient, and into other genres that are influential to my sound, such as my favorite genre, Future Bass!

In my personal life, however, I serve as a National Weather Service Certified Storm Spotter, as well as a professional photographer and locally well-known horticulturist and fiction-writer. And when I'm not doing any of that, I  can typically be found photographing nature, usually during my daily nature walks, or tending to my pollinator-packed garden, or just observing the beauty of nature, or playing with my mischievous Labrador, Bella.
